Andrew Babicz, will show us that containers can look great, you will learn what it takes to produce a truly beautiful container whatever the season. We will look at the various types of container available with their advantages and disadvantages, the composts you can use, how and when to feed and the maintenance and aftercare. Finally we will look at the type of vegetables we can grow in containers. Andrew is a keen plantsman and this year he is celebrating 50 years in horticulture! Andrew started as an apprentice gardener at Inverewe Gardens in the North West coast of Scotland with The National Trust for Scotland and went on to work at The Royal Horticultural Society‘s Garden, Wisley, Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace Garden. He studied at Somerset College of Agriculture and Horticulture, Cannington, for two years and then studied for three years at The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
