RebekahO’Driscoll will talk to us about paludiculture, also known as "wetter farming" or "high water table farming", is a system of agriculture that utilizes wetland habitats, particularly peatlands, for the profitable production of crops. It involves cultivating crops suitable for wet conditions, often on land that has been previously drained for conventional agriculture. This approach aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from peatlands, preserve peat, and potentially accumulate new peat, while also offering new income opportunities for farmers
